WOW! I've been so busy and swept up in the trade show this weekend. My feet are dying, but it was a busy event, and I'm excited I got to participate there.
We (my colleague Jo and I) enjoyed the event. We spent the weekend in the soccer field side of the trade show. For those of you who attended and remember me, thanks for coming :)

Learn 4 fun and interesting techniques such as Scratch and Sniff, a Twisted Emboss Resist, Tone-on-Tone, and Split Negative.
Here's an example of split negative. This isn't the card we'll be making, but it is such a cool technique!

We (the vendors) were asked to provide additional door prize offerings for the guests of the Spring Women's Show. My colleagues and I agreed to provide a gift certificate, and a free catalogue with an additional gift certificate inside should they come to our booth to redeem the card.
Each of us made 5 cards. These are mine.
I used Taken With Teal textured cardstock and regular Old Olive cardstock. The CS was cut to 6x6 in size and folded in half to make a 6x3 card. A strip of Designer Series Paper was glued across the card, and the 5-petal punch was used to punch several flowers, with the Three for You punch used for the centre of the flowers. A bit of crystal effects in the middle, the stamp "congratulations", and they were ready to be packaged. They turned out really well, so quick to make with the punches, and definitely something I'll be playing with some more. That's a great card size for gift certificates of any type, cheques, or cash.
My ds wanted to me to take a picture of the cards with him beside them. He's delightful.

A few weeks ago I ran a contest in my newsletter for some lucky reader to guess the date of the first real blizzard to hit my area and today is the day! My lucky winner is Elaine who guessed Nov 15. The next closest date chosen was Jan 10- so it was a very close race. Congrats Elaine! Elaine wins a stamp set called Made from Scratch, and I'll be mailing it to her tomorrow.
This is my Christmas tree. I expect all of you to oohh and ahhh...did you notice that every decoration on there is handmade? 3 different types of ornaments, plus a decoration from a downline, Wei, and hand-strung cheerios garland. Well, I'm happy with it!
I've been out shovelling twice today now, and we're still getting another 5 or 6 cm tonight before the snow quits. Now I'm finally in the Christmas spirit! Let it snow...baby it's cold outside...etc.

Our annual large group training convention was this past Saturday, and what a day! We stamped on Fabric bags, created 2 cards that used the Boho West theme, and stamped a wonderful little box that held a set of mini note-cards (3x3) using both the Pretties kit as well as the Define Your Life alphabet and stamp set. Our speaker was Margo Kelly, and she was awesome! I really enjoyed our day.
This event is open to all of Christy Harsch's downline- so if you're thinking of signing up as a demonstrator under me, this annual event would become part of your training as well!
